I had the "spicy" falafel wrap. It was fantastic! Easily the best falafel wrap I've ever had (I have had falafel all over Canada). The baklava was perfect. Sweet, but not too sweet or drippy. I finished off two large pieces! As I was sitting at the small round tables in this charming "hole in the wall" restaurant," sipping my Turkish coffee, I thought to myself: "I feel like I am eating what the owner/manager would serve to her family." That's a good feeling to have. I am from out of town, but I will go out of my way to return here in the future the next time I am in Nanaimo.

This place must be Nanaimo's best-kept secret because I live not too far away and had no idea that this fantastic eatery was in our town! I had the falafel wrap, made to order, of course. It was so fresh and delicious! I also ordered a piece of baclava. Oh my, that was heaven! The owner was so patient and courteous, as it was obviously my first visit there and I was a little unfamiliar with some of the menu items. The pantry section is a treasure-trove of hard-to-find staples. The price was amazing, given that everything was fresh and the wrap was made to order. I will definitely be back. Don't let the exterior of the restaurant or the plaza dissuade you from going in. It is absolutely worth it!

Amazing flavours. The best food I've had in Nanaimo so far (I got the meat shawarma). The gentleman behind the counter was also kind enough to make my toddler a small sized portion. It's hidden gems like these that make a city's food scene. They also have an excellent selection of dried/pickled/canned goods for sale.

The food was good and fresh, a family run business, a respectful and kind owner who invited us for a pop, which is a testament to Middle Eastern hospitality. There is a small grocery section, and the prices are reasonable. I recommend and will definitely go back.

I had to make another review . The owner is an extremely talented cook and a very nice guy. O’Falafel makes a very legit falafel wrap. I have had it twice now and it was delicious both times! I have been eating here whenever I get the chance . There is a large assortment or middle eastern pantry staples that you can not find anywhere else. The hummus, the baklava, the wraps , the provisions are all excellent The food is cooked to order, hot and fresh, great veggies, pickles and condiments. It is super low key and a hidden gem. You can taste the pride that the owner and his wife bring to their table. If you have not been . You are missing out ! A win for the Nanaimo food scene .

This is a cozzy corner restaurant with a decent ambiance at Hospital Commons on Boundry Road by NRGH., serving good middle eastern quality food with yummy taste. They also serve speciality coffee to sip. Service was very nice with courtesy. Parking is fairly available but at times it may get tight during lunch hours.

Nearest Metro Station - Bowen at East Wellington! Pleasantly surprised by the shawarmas here and very appreciative of their warm hospitality! Reminds me of the food vlogs I used to see on Turkish food where they took joy and pride in sharing their culture through their food ! Tried the Chicken shawarma, loved it The Turkish tea ( is an acquired taste in my opinion ) I wouldn’t really say it’s bad but maybe I’m just not used to this kind of preparation Ended the lovely meal with sweet and crispy baklavas !!! Thank you !!! Had a lovely meal here
